Sew a Quilt: Basics for Beginners
WITC-Rice Lake Fall 2010
Learn the very basics in quilt making. Demonstrations on rotary cutting, speed sewing, hand and machine quilting will be presented. Supply list will be provided at the first session. No prior quilt knowledge is necessary. Monday evenings, 4 sessions.

One Day Workshop! Make a beautiful quilt, rotaty cut with efficient use of fat quarters. Speed techniques will be taught. Prior sewing and basic quilt knowledge is necessary. Please bring a bag lunch, sewing machine in good working order and cutting equipment. Sign up early to receive your supply list ahead of time.

Sewing Bags, Purses, and Totes

Join us in sewing up some beautiful bags, purses, totes. We will be sharing loads of tricks and tips on how to easily construct them. Prior sewing knowledge is necessary. You will receive the supply list at the first session. Thursday evenings, 4 sessions.

Greenpiece Block-of-the-Month Quilt
This is a beautiful BOM. The colors are burgundy large floral print, willow, and fern green, tan, rose, gold and brown. There are 10 different star blocks (2 of each star) plus wool applique. You can choose to substitute the wool applique for hand "Greenwork" or plain blocks. Block pricing is to be determined. Please sign up soon as there are a limited number of kits available!

Washington Medallion, a quilt designed by Sue Garman, is a wonderful sampler quilt that is great for all levels of quilters. This cozy quilt has everything from the feathered star center to flying geese, pinwheels, and much, much more! Included with each month are lessons for piecing and paper piecing the blocks, so that, in the end, not only do you have this beautiful quilt, you will also have learned, or fine-tuned your quilting skills.
During this 12 month Block of the Month program, you will receive the patterns needed to complete the quilt as pictured. The finished quilt measures 84 1/2" x 84 1/2".
Class Meets the third Wednesday of every month.
